How a garden grows here
Read the site
Sun path, wind, salt, where the water sits at 3pm in July. Two weeks on the plot before we draw anything.
Water first
Irrigation, drainage and shade are planned before a single plant is chosen. In this climate, water is the design.
Bones
Walls, paving, pergolas: the things that must hold at 48 degrees and still look calm.
Planting
Native and adapted species in layers, tree, shrub, ground, dense enough that the garden looks settled within two seasons.
Tending
A 24-month care plan for every garden, and we walk it with you after the first summer.
